Valve has unveiled the Steam Frame, a standalone VR headset designed for practicality and portability. Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and equipped with 16 GB of RAM, it features LCD panels with a variable refresh rate ranging from 72 Hz to 144 Hz. Unlike previous models, the Steam Frame operates independently with SteamOS, providing a gaming experience similar to consumer headsets like Meta Quest, although it may not support maximum settings for demanding VR titles
