Dead Space Remake is a huge drain on resources so there are a few things you really need to watch out for here.

First of all, if you have installed this to your SD card, then you will want to re-download it ASAP to your internal SSD, you will suffer major load problems if you keep this on the SD Card.

Next up you want to head into settings, set Fullscreen mode, V-Sync off, Film Grain off and set the quality to Low.

Then you want to change the FSR 2.0 mode to Balanced if it wasn't already.

From here you will still get the occasional load spike but overall you will have a great experience

If you want to keep a flatter frame time and get a little more battery life, then you should also limit the Steam Deck to 40 FPS and 40Hz, but we really liked being able to get up to 60 FPS when the game let us and we didn't notice the dips too much otherwise.
